Types and naming of cigars

Cigars are group in several categories depending on the method used in manufacturing, the size and shape, flavors added and their strength, and country of origin. There are two ways of making cigar; the first one it the original method of hand rolling which used by the Indians before the production was commercialized. This method produces the finest quality hence are very expensive. The products of this method is mostly called the boutique cigars; very rare.
The rolling is done by people who are experts. Due to it labor intensity the production is very small compared to the industrial ones. The boutique cigars’ user must have humidors for the quality must be maintained. The second method is the industrial one where several brands are made in large scale.
The type of cigar has some specific cigar accessories associated with it; due to different lengths involved. The names corona and panatela have been used to describe the lengths and diameters of cigars for a long time. It is seldom to find to cigars from different manufacturers with same size and named the same.
The shape is also used to group them with the rough being called figurado and the cylinder shape is known as pajero. The other type is based on the flavorings that are induced to the tobacco to give the desired taste or smell. The most common flavors are rum, peach, Kahlua, Amaretto, Irish Cream and other popular herds.
The last classification is according to the country of origin. The best cigars are form Cuba but are very rare due to the trade embargo that was imposed on it in 1962. The possession of Cuban cigars in America can cost you over $ 50,000. Other producers of cigars are Spain, America, Honduras and other Latin countries.
