Oregon coast is one of the most beautiful stretches of sea beaches in the US. You will be surprised to know that Oregon is one of the two states in US, where there are no private beaches. That makes the access to any beach as easy as walking down the road. That does not mean you should not take precautions in staying away from hazardous beaches or beach areas.
There is long list of cities that dot the Oregon coast. I will not list all of them. You can find their list on the web site maintained by Oregon coast visitors association.
I find this site quite informative. Members of this association are committed to the cause of making your visit to the Oregon coast memorable.
Of all the cities along the coast of Oregon I like Toledo most. Toledo is situated on the river Yaquina. Toledo is about seven miles from the sea. It is surrounded by forest. It has rich history. Back in time it was a booming town known for its mill business. Streets of the city still retain historic flavor.
These days, town is famous for its antiques and art galleries. Many artists have found this town suitable for stay. They have settled down here. Toledo city has many art galleries and history museum. IN the year many annual festival are held. You can visit the city during one of those festivals. For stay there are many hotels and motels ad if you like to camping, you can stay at one of the camp sites around the city.
