My mother told me that she hired some St. Petersburg kitchen designers to completely redo her kitchen before Christmas. My mother loves to cook and she has never been able to completely enjoy it, since her kitchen did not have enough counter space or cabinets. She wanted to redo it, just in time to cook all of us kids a huge Christmas dinner. The St. Petersburg kitchen designers started the remodel by completely gutting the entire kitchen. My mother said that she had to eat out and use the microwave for two months while the work was being done. She knew that it would pay off in the end, so she did not mind.

I asked her how she had come up with her kitchen design ideas in the first place and she told me that she has seen enough of those home improvement shows to know what she wanted. She even said that the kitchen designers were shocked at how much she knew about the different flooring, cabinetry and countertops. She had her kitchen design ideas all ready for them, and they went with everything she said because they knew that it was going to look great. I cannot wait till December when we get to visit mom in her house and see what her kitchen looks like.
