Over the last few decades industrial technology has made a rapid progress.  Technologies that were considered novel 50 years ago have now become obsolete and find their place in the museums and heritage houses only. Technological development has been so prominent that it has shrunk the globe and has brought even the remotest corners of the earth within your sight. However, there still remains certain thing that has not changed and continues to be the essence of any technology. In the same analogy, industrial fasteners are the essence of industrial technology.

Scientists and engineers have pointed out that every machine that is manufactured, however advanced in technology and sophistication it could be, emanates from a few basic tools like the nuts, bolts, angles, wheels, screws, cylinders and sockets etc. These are the indispensable parts of any machinery constructed with only the shape and size varying with the corresponding shape, size and make of the machinery. You require machines to stay compact and together. One cannot visualize a locomotive engine with its wheels apart and the body not fastened to it.

It is the fasteners that keep the components of any machine whether used in factories or used as automobiles, weapons, sports equipments, or your day to day domestic appliances, together and that is why they cannot be dispensed with in any industrial enterprises. Remember, a ship sinks when its fasteners come apart.
