I was so excited when IBM released pSeries products and I can’t wait to check it out. I really can’t afford to buy new computer parts to upgrade my computer, good thing that IBM decided to sell used IBM pSeries and even guarantees a warranty. PSeries systems are great for computers especially for people who run a business online. It stores a lot of records and maintains systematized and organized files.

I immediately logged on to buypseries.com and saw a lot of refurbished pSeries systems and pSeries features like cables, disk drives, memory, system boards, processors,  graphic cards and even pSeries Power Supplies. They also have older models that can provide people with old parts than can be used to replace some of the older parts for older model computers. Moreover, even though they are refurbished it still offers the same quality and features.

I don’t have any doubts upon purchasing used IBM pSeries, because at times like this, we should be practical. New technology can easily be faced out because newer ones keep on coming. The Used IBM Servers that was given to us by the neighboring company was a great, big help to our school. The school has a lot of priorities than to buy a new server.  Communications are running everyday back and forth, inside and outside the school. The School president after granting the company employees a certificate murmured us a question: “Do you think what kind of server they are going to replace with this used IBM server?” I was carried away of the school president so I find it out myself. I may have to think twice before I go and okay the buying of the used poweredge servers we have been talking about. Our sales for the last six months just came in and they are much lower than what we had first thought they were. I am thinking that they are so bad, that we may need to nix the used servers and layoff some people in the office or even in the shipping and receiving department.

My secretary told me to look at all the time the old servers went down and figure out how many sales we missed out on because of that. I did as she suggested and was pleasantly surprised with the results, well not pleasantly, but happier than a few minutes before. I could see that had we been up and running for those many times, we would have met our goal of sales for the month.

The last thing that we need this week is for one of the poweredge servers to go down, and it seems like that is going to be inevitable. The oldest one has been going offline by itself all day and we have to keep resetting it. I think that it is only a matter of time before this office comes to a complete halt.

I have tried to call the dell repair man that has fixed it before but he is not answering his phone. I think that since it is so close to the holidays, he may have taken a vacation or something since he has always been easy to reach before.

If the poweredge servers do go down before the end of the workday, then I am planning on just sending everyone home early for Christmas break. It will probably upset some of my workers who cannot afford to lose and hours of pay during this time. It is possible that we may just have a miracle and the servers will stay up and running for the rest of the day and then I can possibly find a different dell repair service to come in before we get back up and running after the holidays.

I remember him getting a good line on some used ibm equipment about four years ago and he sold them online for a good profit. I am wondering why he would not just do that again.

I really want to notify someone about what he wants to do but am not sure who to contact. I also feel bad for him since he thinks that he has a real opportunity to make some good money and possibly turn around his current financial situation. I know that he made a few thousand off of the used ibm stuff, so maybe he can do the same or better with the servers.

Maybe after he sells the used iseries servers out of the garage, hopefully he can do it quickly, and then he will have enough money to rent a real retail space and move his store there.
