My assignment this year is to spearhead the construction of a new church. I was brought up to be a devoted Christian and being able to do something for the church is happiness to me. Supervising a church construction is what I usually do because I am a graduate engineer. I offer my free time to the church. A friend of mine finally had the courage to open up a dress shop in town. I knew she had the potential of making it big because she is really talented.  I told her that the only way to get more clients is for her to become more accessible.  Having a shop would enable people to see her work easily for they can easily reach her and her works now that she has one downtown. 

We were so excited with the opening of the shop and we involved ourselves in the planning of the shop’s design.  She wanted to place fixed awnings on her windows for she knows that having them could save her on electricity costs.

Luckily, the person she contracted to do her shop knew a supplier of awnings that was very reliable.  Since the contracted gave a good word about the company, we decided to go and give them a visit.  My friend was happy with the way they accommodated us and got their services right away.  After choosing the colors and paying for them, we referred them to the contractor to coordinate with the schedule. The shop had an elegant feel to it and my friend could not have been any happier after the construction was finished. She is one happy dressmaker with a really beautiful shop.

It’s been a really long time since I last saw my father in the golf course. Since he had her first stroke, he got really cautious of what he’s doing. I think, he got really shocked of what happened, and he doesn’t want it to happen again. So, even if his doctor did not advise him to stop doing any physical activities, he limited himself to walking around their backyard every morning. However, I know that he misses playing golf more than anything. It was his hobby even before he married my mom, and he was really good at it. I could see my father at his happiest when he is on those green fields.

That is the reason why I came to their house one day to look for his old golf clubs. It stored away in their basement. Upon finding them, I suddenly remembered the delight in my father’s face when my mom gave those clubs to her as a gift for their anniversary. We are moving to a different state because my husband was transferred to their new office site.  Since he was given a relocation allowance, we opted to purchase a house instead of renting a flat.  Aside from having more space to accommodate all our stuff, it would also be nice to have the kids grow up in an environment where there are other kids their age that they could play with.
